From April 2018, the Control Chamber of Armenia will be renamed and will become the Audit Chamber, said Levon Yolyan, Chairman of the Control Chamber, while presenting the draft of the annual program of the Control Chamber for 2018.

"This amendment stems from the constitutional amendments. That is to say, with these changes, the Chamber will conduct an investigation, "said Yolyan.

This is the last time the program has been submitted to the National Assembly because since April 2018 it will confirm the topics of the review.

As for 2018, Yolyan said that they have identified a number of spheres where they will carry out a comprehensive study. Thus, a comprehensive study will be conducted at the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs, Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources, Emergency Situations, Economic Development and Investments and Nature Protection, as well as in the General Aviation Department.
