"Byblos Bank Armenia” CJSC is the legal successor of "ITB’ International Trade Bank”. The bank started its activity in RA in 1992. It functions according to RA Central Bank’s license № 72.

In April, 2000, the shares of the bank were acquired by foreign companies which later joined the Makarios Group Holding. In 2007, 100% of the bank shares were acquired by one of the major Lebanese banks "Byblos Bank” S. A. L, which possesses branches in many countries worldwide: France, Belgium, England, Syria, Iraq, Cyprus, Sudan, etc. In 2008, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) acquired the following share participations in the authorized capital stock of "Byblos Bank Armenia” CJSC: EBRD – 25%+1 share, OFID – 10%.

As of June 30, 2016, the total capital of the bank is AMD 21,100,098 thousand, assets – AMD 51,603,724 
thousand, liabilities – AMD 30,503,626 thousand.
