Moody's international rating agency has affirmed the ratings of Armenia's long-term issuer and unsecured debt on the B1 level, the forecast is "Stable", reports the official website of the agency.
According to the report, the agency has maintained its rating at B1 level under reliable economic and financial management, through fiscal and monetary policy, as well as under heavy debt burden.
The agency believes that the economy in Armenia will be restored in 2017 on the backdrop of acceptable monetary policy and external demand. The fiscal consolidation is carried out to stop the debt increase in the period of fiscal spatial policy.
The "Stable" forecast in Armenia reflects the balance of risks with B1 rating. Positive pressure on credit quality can be caused by direct foreign investments, a steady increase in export inflows or a cash inflow that will result in increased economic capacity and reduced risk of external vulnerability.
