The Prime Minister attached importance to the further development of the Armenian-Russian cooperation in the industry and underlined that he sees great prospects for it. "Despite the fact that the Russian capital has a great deal of involvement and representation in Armenia, I am sure that the Armenian market is still underestimated for Russian companies, especially for the third countries - Iran, to enter the European Union markets. Gleb Nikitin touched upon the results of the negotiations with Armenian partners, including private sector representatives, and evaluated them efficiently and constructively. According to the Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, the Russian side sees wide opportunities in implementing investment programs in Armenia and highlights the opportunities of the GSP + system and the free economic zone on the border with Iran for Russian companies. "We are interested in the opportunities available in Armenia and I see broad prospects in that regard. We have a great potential for cooperation in radioelectronics, mechanical engineering, agricultural production and various industries. I am confident that bilateral cooperation in the field of industry can go to a new level, "said Gleb Nikitin, stressing the importance of implementing concrete export programs.

In this regard, Prime Minister Karapetyan expressed conviction that Armenia can meet the Russian side's interests, taking into account the advantages and capacities of our country in different spheres. According to the head of the government, Armenia can become a good platform for Russian capital to enter international markets. Karen Karapetyan also stressed the necessity of development of cooperation between Armenian and Russian investment funds and noted that the Armenian government has a number of interesting investment projects that can be implemented through joint efforts. The head of the government added that he sees great opportunities for cooperation in the spheres of transport, aviation, pharmacy, tourism, hotel business, information technology and emphasized the success of Armenian IT companies. "We have such organizations whose subsidiaries operate in Silicon Valley, not vice versa "Said the Prime Minister.

During the meeting the interlocutors attached importance to the holding of the Armenian-Russian Industrial Forum to be held in Yerevan in October, in which a number of bilateral agreements will be signed.
