Armenia's foreign currency interbank market increased by 12.7% on September 11-15, after the 8.7% increase over the previous week. At the same time, the dollar and euro transactions, which were accompanied by increased interest in the purchase of rubles, were intensified in the intra-banking market under the conditions of preservation of sales. The exchange trading platform remains empty.

As a result, the strengthening of the dram against the US dollar was replaced by the devaluation from 478 to 478.3 drams / $ 1, increasing against the euro from EUR 577 to AMD 570 / € 1 and against the ruble from 8.4 to 8.3 drams / 1 ruble. As of September 15, 2016, the exchange rate of dram against the dollar made 474.8 drams / $ 1, 533 drams / 1 euro against the euro, and 7.3 drams / ruble against the ruble, which shows the annual depreciation of the dram against these foreign currencies.

According to the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia, the foreign exchange market of NASDAQ OMX Armenia is already empty for the fourth month. At the same time, on September 11-15, USD 15.550 million was traded at 478.48 drams / $ 1 average weighted exchange rate (against the previous 478.31). At the same time, the tendency of the dollar to buy in the foreign currency market dramatically accelerated from 0.4% to 25.7%, replacing the decline in sales by 16.5% with a growth of 31.5%, and the euro buying 8.9% decline dynamics was also replaced with a 0.3% increase and a 5.6% decrease in sales was replaced by 55.1% growth, a 12.2% decline in ruble purchases was replaced by a 19.8% increase, and the decline in the sales of the ruble accelerated from 3.3% to 4.4%.

As a result, $ 87.1 million was bought at the average exchange rate of 477.63 drams / $ 1, 9.2 million euros at the average exchange rate of 569.58 drams / euros and 1.4 billion rubles at an average rate of 8.28 drams / 1 rubles, and were sold $ 101.9 million at an average rate of 478, 86 drams / 1 dollar, 18.3 million euros at an average rate 573.23 drams / 1 euros and 483.98 million rubles at an average rate of 8.38 drams / 1 rubles.
