
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has released a report on Global Economic Development Forecast, where forecasts for Armenia's economic growth have improved, with a 3.5% growth predicted instead of the previous 2.9%.
According to IMF experts, the level of inflation in Armenia in 2017 will be 1.9%, in 2018 - 3.5%.
According to the Fund's forecast, from former-Soviet countries economic decline will be recorded only in Azerbaijan (1%), economic growth in Russia will make 1.8%, in Georgia - 4%.
Leading countries in the economic growth rate will be Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, by 6.5 and 6% respectively.
