Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received representatives of IT companies. During the meeting the opportunities and prospects of IT development in Armenia were discussed. Representatives of the companies emphasized the importance of the implementation of consistent measures for the further development of the sector, primarily in the sphere of education reform, involvement of national corporations, promotion of startups and implementation of digital agenda.

Karen Karapetyan noted that the government is willing to discuss each initiative for the development of this sphere by suggesting a roadmap, a clear and specific sequence of events and clear functions of the state bodies and the private sector. The prime minister underlined that the government views the IT sector as one of the key sectors of the economy and expects that due to the consistent cooperation between the state and the private sector it will be possible to record serious results.
