VTB Bank (Armenia) starts servicing MasterCard PayPass non-contact cards in commercial outlets. From now on, at each trading point where PayPass logo is available, customers can pay VTB Bank (Armenia) and other banks (local and foreign) with MasterCard PayPass non-contact cards, with just one click on a terminal, the bank's press service reports.

According to the bank's statement, in case of using MasterCard PayPass cards, the payment is made instantly, with the card's single touch to a POS terminal without the need to transfer the card to the cashier. PayPass's noncontact payment technology is one of the most up-to-date, fast, affordable, and reliable ways to make card payments worldwide. Due to this technology, customer service time is reduced, which, in turn, leads to reduction of queues in cash registers.

MasterCard PayPass of VTB Bank (Armenia) does not require PIN entry when making a noncontact payment of less than AMD 10,000, which leads to immediate payment confirmation.

"The noncontact method makes it easy for cashier to work at commercial points, as the cashier is required to make two simple steps (instead of four in case of standard payments), POS-terminal activation and entering the payment amount. Then, after checking the purchase amount on the terminal, the customer draws the card to the POS terminal and the purchase is paid, "the bank notes.

At the beginning of 2018 all trade points of VTB Bank (Armenia) will be equipped with devices that accept MasterCard PayPass non-contact cards.
