Armenia airline will carry out regular flights to Europe in April next year. General Director of the company Robert Hovhannisyan said that for this purpose they plan to buy Embraer 190 passenger plane, about which they are currently negotiating. "This plane was made in 2009, it is in good shape. When it arrives in Armenia, we will start direct flights to Europe. The first flight will be launched on April 19 to Lyon, on April 23, in Cologne, "said the airline leader. According to Robert Hovhannisyan, from airports of both Lyon and Cologne they have received discounts for flights. "After negotiating with Lyon and Cologne airports, we got a 50% discount for airport services for three years. "Zvartnots" is also ready for discounts, they are in favor of opening regular flights to Europe. It will enable us to compete, though transit tickets are cheaper, but the direct flight is better, "said the speaker. The Cologne airport has even agreed to provide a 70 percent discount if the airline does not delay the flights.

"These are the directions we expect tourists from, including those living in France, in Germany. We aim to bring tour operators as in case of Israel, "said General Manager of Armenia Airlines.
