Artsakh State Minister Arayik Harutyunyan received a group of students and lecturers of the faculties of Artsakh's universities to present and discuss the main results of the activity of Artsakh's government in 2007-2017 .

"As you know, over the last ten years the government of Artsakh has succeeded to provide around 10% economic growth annually. As a result, the nominal GDP of about 70 billion drams has grown by about 3.8 times over the past ten years to about 270 billion drams. This, of course, is a very important achievement, but I suggest you to get acquainted with the overall presentation, " said Harutyunyan.

Then the main indicators of the republic's life span in 2007-2017 were presented to the attention of the present. In particular, it was noted that if in 2007 the volume of industrial production in the republic was about 22 billion drams, in 2016 it reached 59 billion (an increase about 2.7 times), and only in 9 months of the current year 57 percent increase compared to the same period last year. As a result of a steady increase in GDP and state budget revenues, the average monthly nominal wage from 68,610 drams has grown to 153,168 drams over 10 years, increasing by more than 2.2 times. The average monthly pension also increased by 2.2 times from 19,470 to 43,273 drams. The stable and rapid GDP growth was also reflected in the state budget indices, with its expenditure part from 30.8 billion drams to reach 94.4 billion drams over the last 10 years (more than three times).

Touching upon the energy sector, the State Minister particularly noted: "If in 2007 it was produced 90 million kWh of energy in Artsakh, this year it will be about 350 million kW / h, in 10 years it has increased about 3.8 times, ensuring the republic's full self-sufficiency in this issue. In the next few years, we will produce hydropower products of around 800 million kW / h. The system has evolved so much that we are now building private reservoirs that will be used for electricity generation and irrigation purposes. In the coming years, along with the development of hydropower, we will also focus on solar energy, promoting its development through state and private and charitable means, "Harutyunyan said.
