
According to the data released by the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia, the prices of meat products in December 2017, as compared with December 2016, recorded a growth by 11.0%, and 1.3% as compared with November, 2017.
In all cities surveyed prices for meat increased by 0.4-3.8% in December, 2017 as compared to November, with the highest inflation rate recorded in Yeghegnadzor. The overall level of meat prices in the capital increased by 0.8%.
Fish and seafood prices recorded a growth by 24.8% in December, 2017 as compared to December, 2016 and 0.3% fall compared with November, 2017.
According to the NSS, in December, 2017 a rise by 0.1% of confectionery prices was registered in Armenia as compared with November, whereas the price level for alcoholic beverages and cigarettes remained unchanged compared to the previous month.
In sugar prices, in December 2017 as compared to December, 2016, there was a fall by 6.0%, and by 0.5% as compared to November, 2017.
There was also a fall in prices for coffee, tea and cocoa, non-alcoholic beverages - 0.5%, bakery and cereals - 0.4%, oils and fats - 0.2% in December, 2017 as compared to November, 2017.
