At today's government session, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan instructed to simplify administration in the construction industry.

"At the end of the year growth was registered in this sphere and in the near future we expect to increase those rates," he said.

The Prime Minister reminded that in November last year a corresponding assignment was made on the construction industry.

"At the same time, as a result of the conducted research and meetings with developers, the necessity of simplification and clarification of the administrative requirements and general requirements provided by legal acts has arisen," he said.

The Prime Minister instructed the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development, the Chair of the State Committee for Urban Development, the governors and proposed the Yerevan Mayor within a month to develop a package of proposals aimed at clarifying the whole process of construction sector and simplifying the procedures for issuing permits by the competent authorities.

Karen Karapetyan instructed the head of the government staff and the head of the Urban Development Committee to organize a consultation with the developers and investors within 10 days to prepare all the interested structures to hear their demand.

"In 2018, we expect some livelihoods in the field of construction, it is important to listen to what's hindering them and to put a very clear mechanism to avoid different commentaries," he said.
