The volume of transactions in the interbank currency market of Armenia on February 19-23 increased twice compared with the previous week. Meanwhile, only on Monday the interbank currency bank was empty, after which deals were made daily and the maximum amount was recorded on Thursday. Simultaneously, players in the intra-banking currency market have shown interest in buying the euro and ruble, while reducing the volume of dollar transactions. The exchange rate platform has remained vacant from the beginning of the year. As a result, the dram against the dollar continued to grow from 481.5 to 481 drams / $ 1, to euro from 604 to 592 drams / euro, from 8.6 to 8.5 drams / ruble.

According to the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), the volume of transactions made on February 19-23 in the Armenian foreign currency market amounted to $ 22.9 million at the weighted average exchange rate of AMD 480.46 / $ 1. Moreover, the foreign currency interbank market on Monday was empty, and the largest volumes were recorded on Tuesday and Thursday - $ 5.2 million and $ 13.4 million.
