
In January 2018 Armenia's state debt grew by $ 123.5 million, or by about 2%, as compared to December 2017.
According to the National Statistical Service, during the reporting period the state debt of Armenia made 6.89 billion drams, and by the end of December 2017 - $ 6.77 billion.
Foreign debt amounted to $ 5.57 billion in January, $ 5.49 billion in December last year.
Armenia's internal debt has also grown by about 4%. It was $ 1.27 billion in December 2017, and $ 1.32 billion in late January. The bulk of the domestic debt make state bonds purchased by the RA citizens.
