In the framework of his official visit to Lebanon Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan met with Lebanese businessmen in Beirut today.

The prospects of investing in Armenia were discussed at the meeting. The members of the delegation of the EuroMena Funds headed by the co-founder of the company, Romen Mathieu, presented the directions of the organization's activities, accumulated experience and noted that the company is interested in cooperation in the fields of insurance, information technology, service and construction.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan presented the current economic situation in Armenia, noting that 7.5% economic growth was recorded in the country last year and positive results were also recorded in other macroeconomic indicators. In this regard, according to the head of the government, now is a good time to invest in Armenia, taking into account the opportunities of Armenia to benefit from different trade preferential regimes. The Prime Minister welcomed the desire of the "EuroMena Funds" to operate in Armenia and expressed readiness on behalf of the government to discuss further steps.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan also met with Fouad M. Makhzoumi, president of Future Group, during which issues of investment cooperation were also discussed. Fuad Makhzie presented his company's activities in a number of countries around the world. The Prime Minister invited the head of the company to visit Armenia to get acquainted with the possibilities of our country and note that the Armenian side is ready to discuss the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation.
