Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has today participated at the opening of "Safe Food, Digital Solutions" conference devoted to the International Day of Consumer Rights Protection organized by the State Service for Food Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia.

The Prime Minister noted that the International Day of Consumer Rights Protection in 2018 holds the title "Make Digital Market More Honest", which corresponds to the digital agenda in our country. "I think digitalization in modern management is one of the most relevant topics in all areas. Each republican executive body should attach importance to the implementation of digital tools, taking into account a number of advantages. In the field of food safety, digital solutions are also needed. In the field of consumer protection, the measures taken by the State Food Safety Service are important, such as the introduction of compulsory slaughtering, work to introduce a risk assessment model, agricultural animal identification program, etc., Karen Karapetyan said, adding that the purpose of such events Strengthening the state, private and public sector responsibility for food safety and quality control. According to the head of the government, it is obvious that it is impossible to clarify the issues, without discussing issues with each other, without interacting with each other, voicing problems, and sometimes even criticizing them. From this point of view, actions carried out within the Week of Consumer Rights are fully aimed at achieving that goal.
