In the coming days the flow of Iranian tourists to Armenia will start, which is conditioned by Novruz holidays. As in previous years, this year it is expected that Novruz will visit a large number of Iranian tourists on March 21.

President of the State Committee for Tourism of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments Zarina Zeytuntsyan said today at a press conference that a number of steps are being taken to make Armenia more attractive for Iranian tourists.

"Last year, the State Tourism Committee organized events in four Iranian cities, and six tour operators from Armenia participated in the tourism exhibition in Iran in December, presenting Armenia's tourism opportunities. That is, we are constantly working to present Armenia's tourist attraction, "he said.

The President of the State Committee for Tourism also mentioned that during Novruz days posters with congratulatory notes will be posted in different places in Armenia. Posters will also contain information on nearby sightseeing destinations where tourists can visit.

Z. Zeytuntsyan said that 220 thousand Iranian tourists visited Armenia in 2017, which is 16% more than in 2016. This year, according to her, steps are being taken to ensure the growth of Iranian tourists.
