On March 5-17 the volume of interbank money market increased by 27.1% as compared to the previous week's 42.8% decline. Simultaneously, deals with USD, EUR and RUB have intensified in the intra-bank foreign currency market. The stock market remained empty. As a result, the dram strengthened against the dollar from 481.5 to 480.5 drams / $ 1, euro 591 to 590 drams against the euro, and from 8.5 to 8.4 drams against ruble.

According to the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), the transactions conducted on March 5-17, including the interbank market, amounted to $ 16.650 million at the weighted average exchange rate of 480.54 AMD / $ 1. Moreover, in the reporting period, transactions in the foreign currency interbank market (excluding March 8-9), however, exceeded the maximum amount on March 13- $ 3.2 million. Intensive activity was observed in the foreign exchange market.
