Declaration of products from April 1 is carried out electronically. Due to the system introduced by the order of the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, electronic customs control is carried out with the availability of an electronic signature. In the case of choosing a "green path" after automatic registration of the electronic declaration, the declarant may immediately get the goods from the temporary storage warehouse. There is no longer a need to present a customs declaration or documents confirming the data noted in it or to visit the customs office to make payments.

"This initiative aims to simplify the communication between the business and customs body, saves the time of customs operations, minimizes taxpayer- customs body contacts and the necessity of going to the customs-department," said Aghasi Aghayan, deputy head of the Ararat Customs Service, SRC, adding that from the supplement to the declaration, to the assessment and payment, all customs duties shall be made without the participation of customs officials.

From the date of introduction of the electronic declaration, up to 1000 electronic declarations have been submitted and released in Ararat customs-department. Aghasi Aghayan informed that the SRC Customs Officers continue to assist external economic entities in submitting a product declaration until they fully cope with the electronic platform declaration process.
