Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan has resigned.
He has made a statement:
Dear compatriots,
I appeal to all citizens of the Republic of Armenia, adults and my beloved young people, women and men.
I address those who day and night were on the streets with the slogan "Deny Serge".
I appeal to those who managed to get to work through the blocked streets and did their duty without complaining.
I appeal to those who have been chained to live broadcasts for days and those who have bravely ensured public security for these days.
I address my friends and fellow party members, all political forces and politicians.
As the head of the state, I appeal to you for the last time.
Nikol Pashinyan was right. I was wrong. The current situation has several solutions, but I will not follow any of them. That's not mine. I leave my post of the country's leader - the Prime Minister of Armenia.
The movement in the street is against my holding this post. I fulfill your demand.
Peace, harmony and logic to our country.
Thank you.
