In January-April of 2018, the State Revenue Committee ensured an unprecedented figure, exceeding the budget revenues by 14.5 billion drams.

State Revenue Information and Public Relations Department of State Revenue Committee reported that the state budget revenues amounted to about AMD 390 billion, having increased by 7.5% or 27.3 billion drams as compared to the same period last year. In April the SRC secured more than 130 billion drams, of which 108.3 billion were levied by tax and 22 billion drams by customs authorities. Overpayments have dropped by 50 billion drams. In April, 9 billion AMD value added tax was returned to business.

In the course of the working consultation, SRC Chairman Vardan Harutyunyan highly assessed the April indicators, giving instructions for May and maintaining progressive rates in 2018. Significant growth was observed in export and import volumes.

It is noteworthy that the revenues of the SRC overfulfilled the privileges granted to the goods included in the 84 and 85 groups, their import on the border VAT-free. Thus, during four months AMD 15 billion worth of VAT has not been levied from businesses for imported machinery worth 75 billion drams.

The SRC's progressive index is not only a result of economic growth, but also a result of the anti-shadow economy and administration, says the SRC.
