The Police of the Republic of Armenia offered the RA Ministry of Justice to mediate the RA Government to initiate the adoption of an amnesty act in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, as a result of which the execution of administrative acts from 01.01.2012 to 31.12.2017 will be suspended and will cancelled penalties of 13.7 billion drams. It is also mentioned that the use of photographic-speedometer devices in living areas of the RA territory demanding speed of below 60 km/h will be stopped, and in the case of uncontrolled pedestrian crossings the traffic will be organized with artificial obstacles.
"The Police of the Republic of Armenia hopes that the change of policy in the area of administrative responsibility will increase the responsibility of our drivers and the level of their legitimacy, as a result of which the Traffic Police will no longer have to strengthen traffic control," the statement reads.
