The government allowed the French "Safej" company to obtain "urban development documentation" and "technical quality control of construction" within the framework of the program of rehabilitation and improvement of inter-state highway road M-6, Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgian border on the basis of the documents provided by the French legislation.

The Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Ashot Hakobyan noted that according to the French law, "Safej" received a qualification certificate from the Specialized Engineering, Construction and Industrial Expertise Organization (OPQIBI) and ISO certificates issued by the French Association for Standardization.

"They assure that the organization has the necessary capacities for the development of" urban development documentation "and" technical supervision of construction quality"," said Karapetyan.

As a result of the adoption of the legal act, "Safej" will acquire the right to engage in "construction quality technical supervision" and " urban documentation development" activities, which will enable the normal course of the program to comply with the requirements of the RA legislation. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has instructed to inform the supervisory company that it will bear responsibility for quality control.

"It is necessary to look at the documents from this point of view and to ensure that such technical responsibility oversight is undertaken. Roads should be constructed qualitatively, if it doesn't happen, not only builders, but also technical supervisors should bear responsibility.
