Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the head of the statistical service of Denmark Jorgen Elmeskoff.

The Prime Minister attached importance to the role of official statistics in the effective functioning of the Governing System, decision making and emphasized the need for closer cooperation between the Statistical Committee of Armenia and the Danish Statistical Service both in bilateral and multilateral formats. Noting that each platform is important for professional contacts and exchange of experience, Nikol Pashinyan expressed conviction that the conference in Yerevan will be useful for strengthening cooperation and updating the statistical system of Armenia. The Prime Minister noted that there is a problem of being objective and independent before the RA National Statistical Committee, which will promote public confidence. According to the head of the government, this is one of the priorities of the Armenian government agenda.

Jorgen Elmeskoff noted that there was a lasting effective cooperation with Armenian partners and touched upon the necessity of introducing new criteria for the application of statistical tools. According to him, they are directed to the formation of objective and impartial statistical system. During the meeting also discussed the process of reforms carried out by the Statistical Committee of Armenia.
