A delegation of nine MPs from the European Parliament, led by Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman David McAllister, visited Armenia to assess Armenia-EU relations and reforms.
The delegation met with Prime Minister, Speaker of the National Assembly, Ministers, Deputies and civil society representatives in Armenia.
The delegation summed up the visit, noting that the EU supports Armenia in favorable reforms.
"I also know that there are calls for us to start negotiations on visa-free regime for Armenians. We are ready to support such a dialogue. I understand that the current agreement is being implemented, but we also need to see a decrease in the number of migrants from Armenia who remain in the EU illegally. And again, key reforms, such as the fight against corruption, must bear fruit," McAllister said.
