The Armenian dram continued to maintain its stability despite the non-violent, velvet revolution in Armenia, which is an important factor in terms of economic development. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the meeting with the Central Bank leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAU) member states, which are in Armenia to take part in the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the Armenian dram.
The head of the government attached importance to the close cooperation between the Central Banks of the EEU countries, development of financial markets, promotion of the economy, introduction of new mechanisms. The Prime Minister expressed hope that fruitful and constructive discussions will continue between the heads of financial institutions in the development of cooperation.
CB chairmen of the EAU countries presented to the Prime Minister the steps for further expansion of cooperation, which will promote the development and deepening of the economies, including the capital markets and trade-economic relations within the framework of integration processes.
They also exchanged views on the possibility of implementing mutual calculations in the national currencies within the framework of the EEU, reports the government's press service.
