At today's session, the government approved " Governmental Legislative Initiative on RA Draft Law "On State Budget".

Accordingly, in 2019, the consolidated budget is estimated at 1.533.7 billion drams (without revenues from interbudgetary transfers), expenditures - 1.685.3 billion drams (without inter-budgetary transfers), deficit - 151.6 billion drams. The 2019 budgets of the Armenian communities are estimated at 138.9 billion drams (including official grants from the state budget) and 138.9 billion drams in expenditures. According to the bill, it is envisaged that the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) during decision-making on monetary policy, within the limits of competence granted by law, it will be guided by the target value of 4 +/- 1.5 percentage points of the 12-month fluctuation range.

Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan, who has revised the forecast for economic growth in 2018, expects it to be by 6.5% instead of 4.5%. Since the base has changed in 2019, the forecast has been reduced for 2019, instead of 5.3%, it will make 4.9%.

"This will not only not lead to a decrease, but you will have a nominal GDP of around 130 billion drams. This change hasn’t caused budget risks. It is forecasted that inflation will be 2.7%, which is within permissible limits- 2.5-5.5%, "said Janjughazyan.
