World Bank economist Sara Niman presented the purpose of their mission in Armenia at the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia, reports the Press Service of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.

"Your agenda of anti-corruption, elimination of monopolies and equal competition was ahead of the revolution in April, but in just the event format. In a few months, the situation has dramatically changed, there is a big flight, there is no corruption, there is an equal competitive field, there is no monopoly. The society is self-cleaning very quickly. We have voiced about it for almost three decades in all governments, but it became a reality only due to a clear and determined political will. These achievements need immediate capitalization. In the Eurasian Economic System, we have to present our model, which can become an example for others, "said Arsen Ghazaryan, President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.

World Bank Program Manager Sara Niman noted that they had supported specific firms many times, because in the conditions of corruption, various bodies dispersed them and used ineffectively.

Arsen Ghazaryan, who shared his opinion on this issue, added: "The advice of international institutions and structures on this issue can be more advantageous today. In order to keep our economy in this transitional phase, we need these financial support for another 2-3 years, after which the development will be ensured. Otherwise, 7-8% GDP growth cannot be a full point of support".

Other issues related to the topic of the meeting were also discussed.
