The United States congratulated the Armenian people on the December 9 parliamentary elections.

A message posted on the US Department of State website says: “This year was a time of significant change for Armenia. Over the past 27 years, the United States has sought to support the development of democratic processes and institutions, and we will continue to do so. We look forward to working with the new parliament and government to deepen our bilateral cooperation and partnership in order to strengthen the rule of law and democratic institutions, fight corruption, promote trade and investment and ensure regional and global security. ”
