The American Dow Jones industrial index dropped 2 hours before New York's stock exchange closed on Thursday by 406 points or 1.63% to 24486 points, TASS reported.
The S & P 500 index of 500 largest American companies has dropped by 33 points, or 1.24 %, reaching up to 2648 points, and the electronic index of the NASDAQ stock exchange has dropped by 0.96 % or by 6 points to 6948.
