Several million devices operating by Android system database have been detected infected by by malicious software with the secret function of the crypto-currency mining, Malwarebytes Labs says.

It is reported that the new virus may turn a gadget temporarily into the Monero Crypto currency Acquisition Mechanism.

All received funds are automatically transferred to the fraud wallet.

The capture system, according to the investigation, is based on the intentional redirection of a device request to a site that blocks the gadget by announcing a "suspicious activity" on the network.

Information security experts advise users to strengthen the protection of mobile devices.
