According to him, the service updates installer can be attacked by the DLL. This will allow the malicious users to deceive Skype and import a malicious code instead of a legitimate library. In this case, he will use the vulnerable file to launch the update.

The expert has also noted that the danger threatens not only users of Windows, but also MacOS and Linux.
