According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, Russian banks and financial institutions are going to leave the SWIFT payment system, Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten writes.

Interestingly, head of Baader Bank's market capitalization department Robert Halvar commented on the Russian official's statement that Russia's withdrawal from the system is dangerous. According to him, the abandonment of SWIFT will lead to the fact that the country will act as an observer only on the international banking stage.
