In the second half of 2017, the largest European investment banks - Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, UBS and Barclays - have begun to accept new employees after several years of reorganization and cuts, writes The Financial Times.
Only in 2016 the largest European investment banks have released about 12,000 professionals. The recruitment of new employees is still pretty modest - in the second half of the year, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and UBS hired 3,000 employees, Barclays - 2,500 last year.
According to Moren McKinley's HR manager Darren Burns, a significant increase in the recruitment of new employees by some European banks in the second half of the year is conditioned by the fact that in 2016 they did not accept enough professionals.
The main areas that have been replenished are management, information technology and audit.
