Prime Minister Mamuka Bkhatadze said that Georgia had successfully completed the program of repayment of debts to unscrupulous customers.

"The government faithfully fulfilled its promise, and most of the citizens met the New Year without debts," the Prime Minister said.

He recalled that the debts were written off to those who took out a loan at least a year before the start of the action, which never paid interest.

At the same time, the loan amount without fines and interest should not exceed 2 thousand lari (more than $ 751.1).

Recall that on December 10, a special website vali.ge began to function on zeroing bank loans to citizens in Georgia. The debts were repaid with the participation of the Kartu Foundation, founded by the leader of the Georgian Dream party, the billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili.

It should be noted that since the beginning of 2019 the crediting procedure has tightened in Georgia. Now, banks and financial institutions will conduct a detailed analysis of the financial condition of citizens wishing to take a loan.
