NASDAQ OMX Armenia launched a buyback of government bonds and the online service (on-line) system, which provides individuals the opportunity to purchase government bonds directly from the government t online without office visit, NASDAQ OMX Armenia press service reported.
According to the report, the system was launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance Treasury Direct system.
Having an ID card and a free subscription at www.gp.minfin.am , individuals will be able to not only invest in treasury bonds and short-term savings, but also in the medium and long-term government bonds, whose returns from investments are free of income tax.
Parallel to online system, Treasury Direct system service points under the Ministry of Finance will continue to operate where investors can obtain the services offered by the online system , if they have not ID card.
Due to the fully automated system of payment, investor pays for bond personally with his plastic card. Registration and making deals are free. There is only a fee for electronic transfer of funds.
