Artak Manukyan was elected the new president of “SME Partnership” association. During the 3rd annual conference it was announced that Artak Manukian was elected by 5 votes. The former President Hakob Avagyan was also charged for president, but he later withdrew his candidacy.
Expressing gratitude for the trust, H.Avagyane said he considers a great achievement the increase of the number of members of the association, which has already reached 620.
During my presidency I paid attention to fire extinguishing but A.Manukian's approach is strategic, he added.
Among the achievements Avagyan mentioned the regulation of the dialogue between public and private sector, constitutional changes, changes in the SME part of the new Tax Low, more than 20 holding seminars and numerous consultations in Yerevan and regions, anti-corruption activities, support to domestic producers within Made in Armenia project, establishing partnerships with similar institutions in Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Estonia. Moreover, he said that it is now possible the export of goods to Estonia. Speaking about the budget, Avagyan told that 90-100% of the funds invested by the participants of association, totally in 2016 it amounted to 1086,000 million.
The SME Partnership association was founded in 2014 to promote and protect the interests of the SMEs sector.
