The US government will provide 1, 442 million in grants to reform the energy sector in Armenia. According to the Minister of Economic Development and Investment, the agreement was signed on August 6, 2010. Since then, 9 changes have been made. Currently the total US aid to Armenia amounted to 61.1 mln, which now will be added by another 1,442 mln USD. The funds will be provided by the US Agency for International Development, to improve the competitiveness of the private sector.
