Central Bank’s Visitor Center has joined the "Museum Night" organized by the Ministry of Culture and European events in the International Museum Day. According to the CBA press service, the Central Bank’s Visitor Center will be open for visitors on Thursday, May 18 at 09:00 - 18:00 and Saturday, May 20 at 09:00 - 24:00.
Visitors can learn the history of ancient coins, the features of defense of Armenian dram. This year's events are organized by the slogan "Painful stories. What is hard to tell in museums ", CBA will show the first banknote with the picture of Yeghishe Charents issued by the Central Bank, as well as special coin dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Yeghishe Charents (the 1997 edition). CB visitor center will also show memorial coins of the Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary and Garegin Nzhdeh. Visitors can see all the coins issued by the Central Bank, from the smallest, " Noah's ark" (1.0 grams) and "Nur" (1.24 grams) to the greatest "The Armenian catholicoses of 20th century" (1 kg) and "Noah's Ark" (5 kg). This year, visitors also will learn about the cultural heritage represented by the temporary exhibition "The State Depository of Precious Metals and Precious Stones" agency of the Ministry of Finance.
