The total volume of private transfers to Armenia grew by 18 billion 414 million per year. January-March in 2017 it amounted to 152 billion 14 million. According to data published by the Central Bank, in January-March, 2016 it was 133 billion 600 million drams. Moreover, the volume of private transfers to Armenia in the first quarter also increased by 89 bln 136 mln, whereas in the same period last year it was 88 billion 299 million drams.
The main directions of transfers to Armenia are from Russia and the United States. In January-March the volume of private transfers from Russia to Armenia amounted to 80 billion 292 million AMD exceeding the previous year's volume by 13 billion 341 million drams, which was is 66 billion 951 million in January-March. The volume of remittances sent from the United States increased by 300 million drams. In January-March it amounted to 19 billion 295 million drams, while in the same period in last year it was18 billion 995 million.
