Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan and "CARD AgroCredit" UCO executive director Karen Petrosyan signed the memorandum of cooperation and the implementation of "State support project of leasing for agricultural equipment in Armenia". "Three financial institutions and four suppliers has been joined to the program. I think that the number will increase because demand is quite large, and farmers will become more affordable for the purchase of equipment ",-noted Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan. "CARD AgroCredit" UCO executive director Karen Petrosyan expressed confidence that the project will greatly contribute to the modernization of agricultural machinery park, the import and application of new technologies. Noting that the organization focuses on the import of popular American tractors of “John Deere” company, Karen Petrosyan hopes that the program will give the opportunity to more broadly represent the brand and provide high-quality agricultural machinery to farmers. The program can purchase different types of tractors, combine harvesters, row-sowing machines, plows, mowers, cultivators and trucks, sprayers and other agricultural equipment. The terms of the acquisition of agricultural machinery are 20% down payment, annual lease rate of 2%, a maturity period of 3-10 years, depending on the type of equipment.
