In 2016, Armenia imported 140.5 thousand tons petrol and 119.3 thousand tons of diesel fuel. According to the National Statistical Service. In 2015, it was imported 130.4 thousand tons petrol and 121.4 thousand tons of diesel fuel. This shows that the volume of petrol imports increased by 10.1 thousand in 2016, while diesel fuel decreased by 2.1 thousand tons. In the first quarter of 2017, both petrol and diesel imports significantly decreased. In the first quarter of this year 25.2 thousand tons of petrol were imported compared to 35.3 tons in the first quarter of 2016. Imports of diesel fuel decreased by half, from 28.7 thousand tons to 14.7 thousand tons.
