Over the past ten years, GeoProMining has made investments in the Republic of Armenia in the amount of $ 504 million.

A diversified international mining company celebrated the 10th anniversary of its representation in Armenia together with the professional holiday of a "miner and a metallurgist".

"Ten years ago we received two assets: GeoProMining Gold Ltd. and Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine. When I first came here, the factory employees had not worked here for about a year. People were on unpaid leave, the equipment was in poor condition. The first thing we did was to restore the equipment, the company's president Roman Khudolii told journalists. He added that currently 1070 people work for GeoProMining Gold.

He emphasized the unique Albion technology, acquired from the Australian company Xstrata, which provides a high level of gold extraction. "We are the first company in the world, and so far the only one that works by this technology," the official said.

According to Khudolly, last year the company produced 3 tons of 800 kg of gold, while in 2006, when they had just begun their work, they managed to produce only 136 kg. The company plans to increase gold production to 5.5 tons.

As for the Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine, Khudoli noted that currently the plant produces 3.5 million tons of copper and molybdenum concentrate, while in the coming years it is planned to increase the production of concentrate to 4 million tons and 1015 people work at the plant.
