The Constructor's Day is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of August, on the eve of this holiday Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan congratulated the builders and announced that the construction sector has a special perception in Armenia. According to the prime minister, construction has been and remains one of the key and pivotal spheres of Armenia's economy.

It is very pleasant that today Armenian builders develop the professional experience and traditions of our past masters by building strong and beautiful buildings with innovative, progressive, safe technologies, "said Karen Karapetyan.

The prime minister announced that the government is working on new projects for urban development. The Government also develops investment projects to support construction companies and developers. At present, the number of licensed construction organizations in Armenia exceeds 2000.

Statistics stated a decline in the construction by 10% for this year. As compared to May in June the volume of construction works increased by 28% to 112 billion drams.

"With our predictions, we are confident that in the field of construction in October we will approach the index which will complete the pace of the previous year and we will have а growth over the year," the Prime Minister said.

In honor of the Constructor's Day, the Prime Minister awarded medals to the field specialists for the significant contribution to the development of urban development.

Mayor Taron Margaryan also encouraged developers and sales companies with letters of appreciation.
