The Bank of England has decided to continue issuing notes, in the production of which animal oil is used.

The idea of covering plastic banknotes with oil sharply criticized vegetarians, wildlife defenders, and the spiritually-minded organizations. For this reason, the Bank of England had suspended to issue a total of 46 million pounds, but promised to investigate the situation.

According to the press service of the bank, animal origin oil could be replaced by palm oil, but in this case, the production of money will rise significantly. That's why it was decided to continue the previous experience. New 20-pound note will be issued in the near future and the issue of 5 and 10- pounds notes will continue.
