This year, the Ministry of Agriculture does not plan to introduce seeds in the case if domestic seed producers ensure domestic demand. Agriculture Minister Ignaty Arakelyan stated this.

According to the information and public relations department of the Ministry of Agriculture, he had a working visit to Gegharkunik province yesterday.

"We plan to stop the import of seeds to the country for the development of the field, enabling local seed producers to produce their products," the minister said.

According to Arakelyan, during the meetings with the Armenian breeders, they noted that they are ready to provide farms with domestic seeds.

"If there is more demand than their offer, then only some of the seeds will be imported," the minister said.
