Russia and Armenia have completed the pilot program for integration of national payment systems. As reported by Lenta.ru, the press service of the National Payment Systems reported yesterday.

"The first participants of the national payment systems of Russia and Armenia in the payment infrastructure of the two countries –with the project of mutual acceptance of "Mir "cards in Armenia and ArCa cards in Russia, are VTB, Alfa Bank," Kentron Invest "and UralTransBank," the program says.

VTB is the settlement bank of the "Mir" system during operations between the payment systems of the two countries. Only national currencies are used when calculating.

According to Olga Skorobogatova, vice president of the Russian bank, "Mir" cards will be available in Armenia by the end of 2017.
