The gross national debt of Armenia at the end of July 2017 amounted to $ 6 201.6 million, increasing by 0.98 percent or $ 60.8 million.

According to the National Statistical Service, the foreign debt of the republic at the end of July 2017 amounted to $ 4,985 million, increasing by $ 42.7 million during the month.

In the structure of the external public debt, $ 4,417.5 million was allocated to the government of Armenia (an increase of $ 35.1 million), and the debt of the Central Bank amounted to $ 567.4 million ($ 7.6 million).

Armenia's domestic debt amounted to $ 1 216.6 million at the end of July, increasing by $ 18 million. At the same time, about $ 1 081.9 million was given to government bonds purchased by residents, state bonds in foreign currency made $ 125.6 million, internal guarantees - $ 9 million.

The nominal volume of Armenia's state debt, according to the state budget of 2017, will amount to $ 6.245 billion as compared to $ 5.849 billion in 2016.
