More than 15 herbs are used in the production of "Manana" teas: mint, nana, chamomile, sunflower, perennial, basil, rose and so on. Raw material is being harvested through the involvement of villagers in the highlands of Armenia. Currently, more than 160 qualified cereal specialists are involved in the plant cultivation process, but the management plans to expand both production volumes and staff up to 600.
Product expansion opportunities also contribute to the expansion of production and the creation of new jobs. For several months now, Manana's teas are exported to Russia and sales are rising. The first consignment of tea will be exported to the United Arab Emirates in October and in the near future to the United States, Germany and France.
"The Manana brand has a long history of success, and the need for financial investment has increased to maximize the company's high quality production. Due to the cooperation with Unibank, the company has been completely upgraded and is now in the ISO certification phase to make the product acceptable both in Western Europe and in the United States.
In just three months, we managed to reorganize and produce and export, "said Ararat Ghukasyan, First Deputy Chairman of the Unibank Board.
The company operates under the supervision of organic certification bodies, through permanent registrations. Organic certification is in line with the requirements of Europe, the United States and Canada.
In order to boost exports and attract new markets, the company is partnering with “WELL FUSION” International company, a specialist in innovative food technology and marketing.
"Among other projects, this is the first honey tea in the world. Plants growing in Armenia are blended with pure honey. You can use it for example, as breakfast, as a food, as well as tea, adding hot water, "said Zafrab Minasyan, Director of the company “WELL FUSION”.
