At today's session of the government, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan gave a number of recommendations, one of which was about the development of information technology support tools.

The Prime Minister mentioned that during the recent DigiTec Expo Technology Exhibition, the information technologies in Armenia have the potential for development and export.

However, according to Karen Karapetyan, new ideas, software solutions, startups, small and medium companies in the IT industry often need support. In particular, there is a need for access to new markets, establishment of business contacts, sales, marketing and skills development, and the need for appropriate training.

The Prime Minister instructed the Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies, as well as the Executive Directors of the Center for Strategic Initiatives and the Development Fund of Armenia within a month to develop and implement a program of measures for the IT sector's export, business skills and capacity development.

"We have a great potential in here, we have good ideas, but we have a problem of building and selling an applied product. Here we must stand by a clear business, "said Karen Karapetyan.
